I'm not the fan of itunes anymore, I have had a bunch of problems....but I am completely confused as to whether I can get just a regular mp3 player. When I go into my itunes library where i have put all my music (stupidly, i threw the cd's away after uploading them all to my computer not realizing this might be a problem in the future) I have mp3 files and winamp files and mpeg4 files....what should I do if i want to convert all my music to a library i can use with a normal mp3 player? are the winamp files equivalent to mp3's (ie can they play anywhere like an mp3, on cd player, dvd player, mp3player?)? do i have do use some sort of decoding program to convert my mpeg4 files to mp3? winamp files to mp3?

I'm just a plain old music lover, I have a huge library, but I haven't a clue about filetypes etc...Any help would be greatly appreciated...even links to where info might be found would be great...
