Most backup games does NOT work after I modded with Wiikey?

Hey all,

So I modded my wii... but then so far it has only been able to play SSX Blur backup and the wiikey update disc... does anyone know what's wrong?

I've tried about 10 other backups I downloaded from the internet but so far only SSX works. I just got Verbatim DVD-R and will try with more games.. gatta download them again.

Try different media.

What region is your Wii?

What is the title of the game plus region the game disc is?

i bought verbatim to try, so far i downloaded dragon quest sword (J) and it didn't work (unable to read disc error)

my wii is american version.. version 2.2U

However i haven't updated my wiikey yet cuz i still haven't received my gamecube controller off ebay.

the only game that works is SSX english version. i believe it is NTSC

The region business is probably the problem, but if you don't want to wait for the controller, you can use the Wii's reset button to wade through the options. Good luck.

ohh i didn't know you could scroll through the menu like that

i got the bootdisc to work and switched on region override and woot, dragon quest works!

however all these other games i burned (on bad dvd-r and broken dvd-writer) does not work... i'll have to try some more now

For future reference and in case you didn't know...

All out of region game disc are not compatible with your modded Wii system. To find out if a game is region compatible then look up the game title on the link below to see if it will work or not.

The sections you will look under are...

NTSC(J) TO NTSC(U) or PAL TO NTSC(U)
