I was reading all this stuff about exploits for the ps2 and I dont know if I have to buy anything first like a mod chip for ps2 or hdloader, so please can someone explain this to me?

Short answer, no, you must buy something. If, on the other hand, you have a friend with a modded ps2, he could set up the exploit for you.

What type of mod chip would you recomend,(preferably high quality),because i would rather put something in my ps2 that really worth it?

its been a while since i looked at chips (don't know if a newer better chip is out), but matrix infinity or dms4 are good ones.
