GTA VICE CITY HELP

hey guys im having trouble with playing a multiplayer game against my friends in GTA Vice city. We all have the UMDs and iv unlocked multiplayer through the game. Now my friends can play each other fine but when i click JOIN it says searching for 1 sec then it says "connection wit host was lost" ... if i clik host then it says its connecting then for a second then it flicks back to the options Join or Host... Im really confused because i can play pro evo 5 and wipeout using adhoc but not gta... Please help

yeah we are all on automatic and weve tried the other channels and it seems im the only one havin trouble with ad hoc. I cant even host a game let alone get others to join my hosted game. thx anyway cheers for the input.
