I am having trouble backing up a dvd. I cannot use dvdshrink read errors appear straight after i try and open the disk. However the dvd i have has aleady been ripped by a third party before. The problem i am really having is trying to make a copy of it. It seems the navigation files are not working. Although the dvd works perfect when you play it. Is there a software program which allows me to create my own navigation files?

All ideas welcome its beginning to drive me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

hi all

did you unlock the dics/drive first by playing it in powerdvd software player first? then ripp it!

also just take vobs if already ripped! and run them through "TPMGenc dvd author" to make new ifo and bup files! you can even make a menu with it! then burn it to dvdr!

also if already ripped go dvd to dvd copy on the fly?

Thx..

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I have tried disc to disc but when the disc starts the recording process it flags up an unreadable error before the 1% stage and chucks the disc out.

Will try to create new menu files thanx

Right click on the DVD Drive the disc in is. Select Explore --> Highligh and Copy/Paste to a directory of your choice --> burn as DVD ROM UDF/ISO in Nero inside a VIDEO_TS folder. You shouldnt be copying other peoples back-ups ;-)

Use DVD Decryptor to read ISO, then hit the DVD>HD button.
After, click on write ISO under the read ISO then incert your DVD, chose your speed 1x,2x,4x and burn!
