Hello, recently I noticed that a lot of torrents I have downloaded crash my windows media player. Sometimes just opening the folder that its in, causes explorer to crash to where I get the

****has caused an error in Explorer (or windows media player) and has caused it to shut down, to report this error....***

Is this simply a bad torrent or is there something wrong on my end?....

its a serious waste of time when you let it run for hours on end, only to find out it doesnt play...

I never use Windows media player for anything, not even music (WinAmp does that) and especially not video files, for video files use a app called VLC Media player, and by the way, what files are they you are trying to play? As in what extension etc. is DiVX, XviD? MKV maybe

Thought Id bring this up again because it still happens to me.
Some video files I download, not just playing it gives the error, but just clicking on it when in the folder causes explorer to crash....

If i manage to double-click it, then windows media player crashes as well...

this mostly happens with video files (.avi's i think, mpeg-layer3 format)...

then today i got this one:
DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

that was after ctrl-alt-del'ing to get control of my desktop back...

this is quite disturbing when sitting through a 5 hour download....

any thoughts?
