Basically I am tired of looking at all the DVD boxes in my room. I wanted to copy them to my computer and watch them from my computer.

I'm trying to use my computer as my complete media center.

What's the best way to copy the dvd to my computer and will I still be able to have the 5.1 sound if I run it from my computer.

Right now I am using AnyDVD, should I be using something else.

Thanks for the help

Mind if I just recap on what you want/meant?

You want to STORE all your movies to your PC, and play them, AND you are using Anydvd to help in the process?

This scenario is almost too good for the average AfterDawner. LOL. All you need is VERY large Hard Disk Drives to store it all. As these don't come cheap so your budget will be the master. And as you have or will backup your DVD's then all SOUND and menu's etc will be preserved. Going from MEGABYTES to TERRABYTES, as I said before... it ain't gonna be cheap.

Your call!

Nice choice of Software by the way! It'll serve you well.

Cheers.

I'm looking at the Fry's add & 500gb drive/$99.99 750gb drive/$229.99 cost are coming down. I currently have 3-500gb/ 2-300gb/ 1-250gb & 1-80gb(c drive) and have a lot of movies just a click away.

We never stop learning.

Haha good to hear. Just wanted to make sure Im doing this right.

I work for an IT/Network Admin Company, luckily Hard Drives are the least worry for me.
