Hi,

I've recently semi-bricked my Wii by installing 2.2 in Mario Party to my Japanese Wii. Two questions really.

1. Like many others, I am holding out for a 2.3 update that will hopefully un brick my Wii. But is this absolutely guaranteed? With all the current problems, perhaps from now on Nintendo will only allow you to update to 2.3U if you have 2.2U in order for them to stop other people bricking the Wii inadvertantly.

2. I've seen that semi bricked Wiis won't allow me onto the settings page, but beside this, I can't play my GC games on it anymore? Does anyone else have this problem?

No, because what would happen to people who buy Wiis that still have the original firmware?
