What do you lose when making a Wii Copy that requires a mod chip

Just curious. Seem the solution to all the wii mod trouble would be make a better copy.

what the hell are you talking about? Whoever said you lose ANYTHING when making a wii backup? It's just like the original.

To try and put it simply, the copy-protection on the game dvd's is based in the actual manufacturing process, namely a few small, but significant, errors that the copy protection software can detect but most other programs cannot. Also these deliberately placed disc errors cannot be reproduced by ordinary burners. They can however be emulated by software like daemon tools for pc dvds or by a mod chip for the Wii.

If they where just like the original they would play like the originals. Thanks you doc_z. Now like my other post we just need to be able to use an external DVD drive such as one on a network PC or a virtual DVD drive and wamo game server.

i thought the modchip just bypassed the security checks + also the detection of how the copy has been written not emulate the "disc errors" as u describe
