so i got a new Fatal1ty gaming mouse. then i installed the software. i set the commands to back and forward on the extra side buttons. they do not work with firefox. why? is there anyway to program the buttons to work with firefox? they DO work with internet explorer.

um firefox 3? or a little lower i think...i'm not usually up to date with my updates

Check to see if there's an update fix on the relevant help section or forums for firefox. Can't say I ever bother using a mouse for that because I use backspace for back, and so rarely press forward I may as well click on it.

from what ive read its a software issue with firefox not using windows commands for forwards and backwords
