Im pretty sure he did a great job and he gave me 5 Wii backups, I tried them, they work, but only after resetting the console everytime I enter a game, but I can live with that, thats not bothering me.
Whats bothering me is that I must have wasted 31 DVD-Rs on 3 different DVDRWs, 2 generic LITEON and one SONY CD/DVDRW combo and none of these games work. I have tried it on different media which include: Ritek DVD-R, Memorex DVD-R, Imation DVD-R, Maxell DvD-R. The guy who did this for me made his backup on WINDATA DVD+Rs. All o.f these except the guy's backups dont work, they give me the "An error has occurred....." screen
My question is, does it matter if it is DVD PLUS R or DVD MINUS R, because im hoping its just my media. I am going out to buy a different brand of disks, and I see Verbatim DVD + and - R for sale, and I was wondering if those would work. I am really hoping it isnt my modchip installed correctly.
I have read around and hear that Fujifilm work great, but I cant find any, and I cant find this WINDATA one the guy used.
To me it doesn't sound as if the mod was done correctly. You shouldn't have to reset with each game and i've used all the types of media you mentioned and only the Memorex's don't work. I use SonyDVD-R's right now and they all work perfectly. Sounds like a shoddy mod job.
