Yeah, I like the Sony's. I have a feeling that Best Buy will have them on Sale too. But, only Jasper would know if that is so. That would be good if they did, cause Best Buy runs the 50 packs for $12.99. Jasper?Where are you this week Buddy?

Yes, Sony 50-packs are on sale at BB next week for $12.99.
Also, Imation 25-packs are on sale at RS for only $4.99 (Imation can be Optodisc, and 16x Optodisc burns really well, sometimes as good as TY. Yes, that's right, I said it, 16x Optodisc can burn as good as Taiyo Yuden).
Those are the only two things that are really good.

well hopefully the 16x Optodisc are better than the lower speed, older Optodisc (Imation) discs we've used at work for years; finally finished the irritating taks of recopying loads of them this week, we've had the misfortune to use them for some years (as work wouldn't buy anything else until we demonstrated how many errors we had from checksumming them all); the only pain-free way to recopy from them was to use 'cpio' in linux, which skipped the many corrupt files and gave us partially usuable spare copies.
Like most burn problems they always 'burnt' well in the beginning, but we had problems very early on when reading files back from them so we have to checksum every single disc we burn, and luckily we no longer have any corruption since we moved away from the Optodisc Imations; we still checksum out of paranoia though, there's anything up to half a million customer files on each DVD and we have to keep them for something like 7years

Yes, 4x and 8x Optodisc did suck, but 16x Optodisc has improved greatly.

VERBATIM DVD+r DL 20 PACK $35 SHIPPED WITH THIS CODE: EMC724ODD02
Is the code even necessary? I clicked on the link and it appeared at $35 w/ the free S&H right on the product page (that was everyday price).
