I want to extract a section of an mpg video to another file with minimum recoding. I set 'smart rendering' on and 'exported' the section to another mpg file. The original video plays OK in all the directshow based players that I use, but the exported file video freezes after about 5 secs, the audio skips a bit and then continues to the end of the file. Both files play OK in vlc.

Does nero have an mpeg-2 mux of it's own or does it use whatever happens to be installed?
