Hi im new to this site and have been reading many of the threads in this section. I live in Australia and am considering getting the WiiKey. I only bought my Wii 3weeks ago so im a little worried.

Here are my questions.

1) Has anyone in Australia had any problems with the WiiKey?

2) If I am to download PAL games only should I not have any problems. I have been reading about people bricking their Wii with PAL to NTSC or visa versa games?

3)Has anybody used the WiiBrickBlocker with success?

If I could have some light shed on this that would be great.

Cheers

As long as you have a working Wiikey and a Wii system that is compatible with a Modchip D2B and below you should have no issue with installing and using it.

If you have a D2C chipset then your not going to be able to use a Modchip because there is no compatibility for it at this time.

You could also get a D2B chipset with cut legs on the chipset. If you get 1 of these then you will have to do a little modification to the chipset to solder to the cut pins. Below is a link with more information on D2B chipsets with cut legs and how people have modified it...

below is an image of the chipset that has the legs cut from it plus shows where to look to verify what chipset you have...

As for the other questions you have asked...
Do a little searching they have been covered numerous times and actually have a sticky thread for it as well.

there are a couples of problem with the wiikey. Some claimed it doesn't bootup backup anymore after couples month of used, although fews ppls had this problem. The negative about this chip is that it doesn't have a disable feature, but all other chips do. And currently can't played gamecube with audio problem, but currently a updated is going to fix this. The bricked only for those that updated from game disc not their owned region. Example if you have ntsc don't update from pal game.
