Recently I bought about $100 dollars worth of blank DVD-Rs and cases from meritline.com . After turning out nothing but coasters from a very big batch of Verbatims I conclude that the media is defective. Anyway, meritline has been giving me the runaround and not giving me any sort of straight answers with or about their return policy (which I have read in detail) in so far as it applies to me and my situation. Being that this is both the first time I've gotten a deffective product from meritline and also the first time I've had to deal with their customer service I don't really know if this is the norm with them. Anyone else had a bad experience with meritline.com?
Compaq/Hp/ Computer Help and Support Center They are wonderful and nice until you have to have something replaced, then they too also give you a runaround,THey are rude if u cant understand them, also they will hang up on you and just do everything they can think of to give you the run around.i dont know why but i bought 4 systems from them and finally decided to try a gateway.Gateway is awsome also thier Tech Service is in The US, Best thing i can answer with is dont let them forget,i had to contact compaq about a part(that was covered in warrenty) 8 times finally i got mad, and after i got mad they showed some service,(not like Screaming mad but like ill never buy again from you again mad) they sent the part a day early over nite shipping, basically show a litle anger you might be able to get some where thats my best answer thanks for you time....
klemperal- While I don't deny that you had your Problem with meritline.com I have ordered from them a few times and never had any problems with them ! But Then again I have'nt ordered from them lately ! Also I generally ordered either Media . Ink or accessories from them and only when & if they had the best price on that item ? But lately with the various Stores Like BestbuY, Officedepot, Staples ect... Putting Verbatims and other Quality brands on sale ona fairly RegulaR Basis I buy My media mainly locally !But you may have gotten a Great deal from Meritline So I understand that! You may like stan789 said Want to get mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!@ them Also if you paid with a credit card & meritline is giving you the runaround You can get the Credit card company involved and they'll get get Meritline hopping ! ( That's why it's generally good to order online with a Credit Card) !! ) Also If you can Find out who the Top Person is there Company President or whatever his or her Title is Try contacting them ! and Tell them your Problem ! Often times you can build a Fire under someones Butt That way ! Also You may wanna contact Verbatim ? Even though They did'nt sell the Product directly to you ! It is their Product and in the interest of good customer relations they may help you out in someway or perhaps offer to swap out your deffective media ? Sorry your getting the short shift from meritline but Keep up the Good fight & update us with the Outcome !!!!!!!! Good lucl & safe shopping !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I wont be shopping with meritline again. My question was more trying to find out if other people had bad experiences with them as well, and not so much about what I should do to get my money back (although I do do appreciate the advice). Like Bigtox, I had never had a problem with them either....until now, or should I say then. In any case it got resolved and I found out a cool trick in the process. The email support people at meritline are more responsive then the phone people--so, save your emails and if someone on the phone is giving you a hard time quote the email customer service people. I should know very soon if things are truly resolved, as my tracking info confirms the defective DVD-Rs have arrived at Meritline. Now the only thing that needs to happen is my account being refunded. I'll update when it does, and if it doesn't I'm gonna figure out how to get a nice sized boycott running because a quick google after I posted the original thread revealed lots of people dissatisfied with meritline.
I am surprised they are still in bussiness, I had probem to and when I tried to deal with customer service they ran me around for almost 2 weeks, they lost my support because there are to many places to shop on web to put up with their BS
From what i have experienced. Meirtline's Customer Service is very good. Maybe it's because i was dealing with low priced products, but here is what happened.
I bought a 500 DVD case. It has 250 individually numbered hanging folders. But only 245 came with it. i was missing a couple. I called them, a guy with Mexican accent answered and within 5 min. a couple was on the way and i received it in 3 or 4 days. no questions asked.
Well, I finally got my money back. I wasn't sure if perhaps I just had dealt with one bad customer service rep when I started this thread--but after all the jerks and incompetent reps I talked to I couldn't help but see a pattern. I'll never recommend meritline.com or buy from them ever again.

Fine, head over to Supermediastore. I've had zero problems with them. One time I ordered some Ritek blue dye (like TY has) 48x CDR's. Well I got an email saying they had run out of stock, no more would be available & would I prefer the Ritek 52x CDR media shipped instead at no additional charge or did I want a refund? I emailed back & took the 52x discs. They were just fine!! Since then I've ordered the big black CD cases from SMS twice & have had no problems. Same with 8x TY silver inkjet printable -R DVD's. 100% success.
I've never had a problem with Meritline either when ordering the Verbatim 4x white inkjet printable DVD's. While the supply lasts (for who knows how much longer) these discs are cheaper to buy then the 8x TY I was buying from SMS. I'll get them for as long as I can then go back to the 8x TY's.
