Hi,can anyone tell me what the differenace is between Datawrite Titanium and Titanium VX2.The first discs I have been useing no problems but the 2nd one will burn to it but will not play in anything eg,PC, dvd player.I most problerly have brought them by mistake not realiseing there's a difference if any.Would appreciate if you can help me.

They could be made by a different manufacturer - one that may not be compatible with your drive.

What's the make and model of your drive? Is the firmware to date?

Try burning at 1/2 the rated speed of the media or if you are then take it down another notch.

You can also id who made those discs - here's a free tool - dvd identifer. Pop one in the drive to id who made the discs and if all the rated burn speeds are listed - i.e. like 16x should list from 1x to 16x (as long as the drive also supports up to 16x)

When you open dvd identifier where the drive is listed the firmware version will be listed next to FW. You can check the drives manufacturers site to see if there is a later one or here.
