Guys.. seriously. I ve heard so sincerely much good news about the Wiid modchip.. so.. I decided to order two of them and sell em to a customer here in Norway.. I ordered from Divineo and got the within 2 days with UPC.. to the point..

I installed them like I do Wiikey, but looked at the special diagram for WiiD and installed the extra wire and did some extra secure installing of the whole damn thing just to be sure, with extra isolation and tape and whatnot, (which Ive never used on Wiikey and it always works as it shall, I quicksolder and and use stripped wire to connect the other 4 points) but the thing with these two WiiD's on these two Wii's, is that it just simply WONT work.. Ive tried everything humanly possible, and nothing works..

And since the awesome config setup upgrade firmware Bios Disc works has this awesome OS that shows you a nice GUI with plenty of lesbian girls in the background during Flashing, even a percentage of the flashing,
(total sarcasm, the reality of the matter is that the WiiD modchip, incase you didnt know, shows you this message when your actually updating the modchip: Unreadable Disc, so you have no real idea or understand if the updating actually does work)
...

Help? anyone? Ive been over these two Wii's for 4 hours now.. and Im dead tired of em.. I got like 16 Wiikey Clones lying around here, which works 100% perfectly, but this darn customer wants the WiiD, and says hell wait 3-4 weeks if he has to, but that means I dont get the money for the job until then either :P

Ofcourse, the most obvious explanation is that the chips are both DOA.. but it just seems so weird, that TWO chips are DOA..

could anyone, please, give me any idea of what Im doing wrong..

I burn the backup and bios upgrade disc exactly the same way as I do with WIikey, with Clone CD and THat's Write (RITEK) 4,5gig dvd's, I even tried using Nero at 4x speed and some expensive Verbatim 4,5gig dvd's (by following Team Modders guide), and it still wont work..

I would be most happy and satisfied if anyone could give me some reason as why both of these chips arent working..

Ive tried Formatting the Wii system, which actually did something weird to the Config Disc (instead of Disc unreadable, it read from the disc like 15 seconds and the screen got black saying "Disc Error, restart console" or something, is this what the Bios upgrade should look like?), Ive tried using all kinds of different dvd's and burning methods, Ive made sure I did everything correctly from right region upgrade to different backups and resetting the Wiid chip to its factory settings, disabling it, etc etc.. but NOTHING works..

thank you for reading this post, and sorry for it being so incredbly long, Ive just had too much coke, and Im soo tired :P

Best Regards,

I was just about to ask you if they where D2C chipsets or if they where the D2B chipsets with cut legs.

Which where they?

Don't be so embarrassed. This happens more frequently now since most newer Wii systems have 1 of those 2 drive boards.

But I will agree with you on the WiiD GUI for the update. It sucks balls and I doubt they will even come out with another update. The site hasn't even been updated since April 6th.

Thanks Larrylje..

It was the one with the cut pins, but no worries, I read Team Modders guide on how to use a Dremel to cutthrough the IC, so I went and bought a dremel, carefully drilled a hole through to the actual three pins inside the IC, soldered the chip up, and guesse what..

SUCESS!!

the socalled unmodifiable mobo from Nintendo is not that hard to modify :) you just need some skills with a Dremel and some proffesional soldering skills..

@pastortom

At this time the unmodified board is D2C chipsets.

So if you didn't know you know now. The D2C chipsets at this time are not compatible with any Modchip that is out there. So keep your eye out for them.
