I recently re-installed windows from scratch (XP), and am just steadily getting all the things I need for it.
So I installed Azureus, and started testing it. Oddly, I can download things fine at a good speed, but I can't seed them! As soon as they are downloaded, and moved to my seed que, they all turn blue. In Azureus, blue means that "I'm not connected to any peer while seeding", but this can't be true, since I'm testing with very popular torrents.
I enabled UPnP in WIndows Firewall, but the problem is still there. I'm using wireless.
any suggestions? The only conclusion I can come up with is that the port needed for seeding is somehow blocked, since I can download fine.
Well it sounds like the classic symptoms of traffic shaping by the ISP. From what I read your torrents can upload while downloading, but not when completed and only uploading. This happened to me out of the blue (no pun) a few months ago on Comcast.
Who is your ISP?
In mine, and most cases, enabling encryption and lazy bitfield will resolve.
Tools/Options/Mode=Advanced
Tools/Options/Connection (expand)/Transport Encryption
Tick require encrypted transport.
I would suggest setting to level RC4 unless you are having CPU problems with Azureus.
The next two about incoming and outgoing non-encrypted should be ticked to allow. (can be changed if still problems)
The third should not be ticked.
Click save at bottom of screen.
Tools/Options/Transfer-click "enable lazy bitfield" and click save at bottom of screen.

You should see things pick up shortly thereafter.
Let me know.
Just wanted to thank you for the tip. I've had the same problem except it wasn't caused by the tracker. I also have comcast and lazy bitfield enabled but didn't have encryption enabled. It's been driving me nuts since it was choking my ratio. Thank you again.
With Comcast it is about 50/50 that encryption/lazy bitfield will work.
Azureus has come out with a special encryption, in their latest beta, for Comcast users for whom the above does not work.
