I'm sorry if this isn't the right forum for this question, since I didn't know whether to put it in general/software/p2p, but suppose I'm posting here now.
My problem is that I get a big-time performance drop each time I either a) open bittorrent b) switch my downloads on. I'm using Bitcomet, and these problems started occuring around christmas, getting worse and worse each month. My friend told me I could possible find help here, so please give the newbie some advice :)
Here's the log in case it's needed:

I am forgetting about the log because I do not know how to solve those things, but BitComet (a.k.a "The Bully" Client) is known for being a little heavy on the resources.
Thus I recommend a thorough Virus Scan, Spyware/Adware/Jokeware/Dialware/blahblah Scan aswell.
I would also reccommend if your PC is low on resources the discontinued use of BitComet, not because of my grudge, but because it is a heavy user.
You can use an alternative client that is both light and simple (much like the older uTorrents) called Halite.
Here is a link to the Halite website.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm quite certain the problem's within my PC running Bittorrent itself, not just Bitcomet, mainly because I've tried using other torrent clients, namely Azureus and uTorrent, and the same problem occured in both. I've also scanned my PC for viruses & other malware maaany times since the problem occured (since it's been around since christmas), so I'm pretty confident the problem's not there, either. I'll give Hallite a shot though, after that I'll come & tell how it went. Cheers!
EDIT: I bow to you, o' Great One! It does work, permanently I hope :) If it does, I owe you one summer vacation. Thanks mate!

Nothing from your HiJack This log looks malicious. What version of windows are you running? What torrent site are you getting your torrents from? What is you internets connection speed? Do your torrents have a good number of seeders?

I don't believe it's the version, since it should be up-to-date. Boxtorrents is my number one torrent site, followed by ThePirateBay. My connection speed should be somewhat 8mb/2mb, and the torrents generally have a decent amount of seeders; 3-300, not that it matters I suppose, since it isn't my download speed that's bugging me, it's my PC's performance :) I would really appreciate a solution, since the problem hasn't always existed. But hey, thanks for checking the log ^^

Oh I thought your torrent speed was your problem. Well for your PC what version of windows are you running? Does it only slow down when running BitComet? Whens the last time your ran a hard drive defrag?

Yeah, I suppose it's the most common question around here ^^ Anyhow, my Windows' version should be 5.1.2600.2180, might be me reading the wrong row, though. I defragged just yesterday, didn't fix the problem :/ And no, it's not only Bitcomet; many other clients make the computer lag, too, unfortunately. Halite seems to be working great, although I really don't like the client itself. Maybe I'm just missing something, but to my attention I can't decide which files I want from the torrent..?

Well I am assuming you have XP. What else do you do while downloading off of bittorrent? And what are your computer specs?

Well, you can see that I do indeed have XP from the top of my HiJack log :) I generally either watch anime/shows/read forums while downloading, and I don't believe those functions eat too much resources.
Can't remember all my computer specs, but I don't believe it's all about them, since it all operated just well before last Christmas. I'll post them, though, once I get some time on my hands. What I remember off the bat is that I have 1024mb memory, 2.4GHz Intel Pentium and a Radeon 9200 if I recall.
