Pioneer A05 update from 1.30?

A few months ago I upgraded my firmware to 1.30 but it wasn't the official firmware from Pioneer. I've had some issues burning, especially cdr's lately so i thought I would try the new firmware, but when I try to upgrade to 1.33 it gives me an error saying that my firmware isn't valid. Is there some way to get around this?
