Nothing will fix your "scatched" CD other than taking it to your local Video store that has a RESURFACING machine. Pay the small fee and enjoy the difference. Yes we know it costs, but whats better...you can buy a refacing kit or do it correctly or leave it the way it is?

Here in Australia, my local charges $5.00 per disc (less for more).

Good luck.

As I said before.. NO, No and No! those REFACING KITS are in my opinion a waste of money...

Scratches to most media can be fixed, but those NASTY refacing kits can make matters worse. Your call.

To my way of thinking, the previous CD is IN ADDITION TO! and USES the other files for it's installation. If you've gone to the next step then all should be good with further installs. (fingers crossed for ya) If you have further probs I'm sure you'll let us know. If you fix problems then let us know how you did it/them ok? Shareing is careing afterall...

Cheers.
