LG GSA 4166B....cant read/burn DVD'S.

Hello...im having problems with my LG GSA 4166B DVDRW drive.I have the latest firmware 1.02.
I can successfuly play and burn CD's but any DVD I enter into the drive will not show up.When I enter blank media it says 'enter a blank disc'.Anyone have any ideas for help??.
