i have the game cube on a iso file.
this game needs 3.3 fw to work and my devhook get to the 2.7 fw only.
so,i have a quetion:if i delet th "update" folder from the "SYSDIR"
folder in the psp_game folder will it work?
if yes pleas tell me how to delet this from there because my winrar doesnt let me to do this.
(maybe i should extract the psp_game to another folder,delet it from there,and then to get it back to the iso file?)
and dont tell me to put 3.40 a or something like that because i dont know and want to do this i like devhook
ok danid the only way you have any chance in getting this to work is to update to custom firmware there's no other way so you have 2 choice's update and play the game or stay with devhook and don't play the game
Don't worry about updating to custom firmware, i didn't want to update to custom firmware to start off with because of stories about people getting bricks from updating, yet this is only because they had done something wrong or used wrong files etc.
There are auto-updaters that will do everything for you, but i always do it manually, that way i know there's no chance of bricking because i checked everything myself and made sure everything was correct before i did the update.
To play newer and newer games you are going to have to update at some point anyway, so you may as well get it out of the way, the custom firmwares also have the recovery mode which means that even if you DO brick your psp, you can fix it again.

What is the difference between playing an ISO and an eboot? I've been ripping all my PSX games into ISO and then converting to eboot to play. Seems better for compression anyway. Is there a reason some are playing ISOs instead of making an eboot? What is the difference? Also OP, u have the ISO for IQ - Cube?? I can't get mine to burn. Can u get with me and work something out.
