hi can anyone help me i'm getting very slow download and upload speeds using utorrent my download speed is 14kb/s and upload is 16kb/s is there any way of haveing both highter. on speed test my throughput is typical of a connection speed of greater than 128,000bps.

I do no know if you used the Options/Speed Guide feature in uTorrent.

This page about setup at uTorrent has a section covering that called "Setting ”Torrent for your speed". Just below that is a section called "Tweaking the upload speed", in case your speed does not fall into the speed guide numbers:

I have not seen that before. There are 3 speed tests on that uTorrent link above. Which did you use and get that result?

That site is only testing one way and I cannot figure out which it is testing for. You either need to choose the up/down java test for Ireland or use one of the US flash tests.

I think I understand it is because its not for cable.
You can check this page about data units.

As I read the page 147,920bps (bits per second) = 147.92kbs
147.92kbs = 18.5kBs. (kBs = kilo bytes).

But I do not know if this is your download or upload rate. they call it throughput and I tried another that gave only 1 number and did not say what it was. I did not see any help either.
