I have a pioneer 105-a05 dvd-r/rw drive and I originally had it on another desktop (it worked fine), but then I moved it today to my other desktop and now it won't recognize any dvd-r, dvd-rw or even cd-r discs. When I put a disc in and try to view it's contents through "my computer" and then by clicking the disc drive, it just freezes up until I eject the disc, which makes everything stop freezing and go back to normal.
I have unconnected all other drivers that were connected to the desktop so that this driver is the main one and I have played around with the (master, slave..etc) settings, done some uninstall's and reinstall's and still no luck. I know for a fact that the problem is not with the driver because it works fine on my other computer,
I just want to figure out why it isn't working on this computer. The previous two drivers on this "emachine" were a cd-rw and a dvd-rom (reader). If anyone has any idea and/or experience with this I'd appreciate the feedback.
Also, I have done this before with this exact driver and have had no problems, but for some reason it's giving me problems on this computer.
