i was just wondering how compatible this is with other games. does it support all games currently out on the ps2? does it support new releases? any major drawbacks or glitches that modchip.com doesn't want customers to know? well, feedback appreciated. thanks in advance

another thing. when burning "applications", would it be better to burn it in dvd format? i've heard that doing otherwise might somehow mess up your laser. plz correct me if i'm wrong

I use swap magic and as of today after 150 or so backups I have not have 1 that doesn't work. Some games need to be rebuilt and others shrunk down to fit into a dvd5 but other then that minor inconvenience it works perfectly. As for burning in dvd format you should always of course use good media and burn the iso file as an image file and not data dvd.

Shrinking the game does not affect the gameplay quality. Usually in game movies are the things getting shrinked or bonus materials. But that's far and few between since there are only a handful of DVD-9 games.
