Video but No Audio from burned DVD

Hi,

I made a DVD from Ulead's CD & DVD PictureShow application on DVD+RW media on HP dvd200e writer. On the same dvd drive it plays fine on Nero's Showtime player, but on Windows Media Player and RealPlayer the video play fine but no audio at all. I'm sure some of you must have experienced and fixed this problem, please help.

check to make sure that your DVD wasn't recoded in an audio format that your RealPlayer or Windows Media Player can't play. It might just be in DTS and if you didn't check off that tick box for the software to play that format it won't play the audio.

In RealPlayer go to TOOLS/PREFERANCES/MEDIA TYPES/MANUALLY CONFIGURE/ hit the SELECT BUTTON then SELECT ALL! See if it plays the audio now.

Thanks for your reply. The windows Media Player V11 gives this message:

"Your device is using an outdated driver that is no longer supported by Windows Media Player. For additional assistance, click Web Help.".

I can't find new driver to do this for my HP DVD200e drive. I tried Windows Media Player V10 but that gives the same result.

How do I check off DTD in Media Player or RealPlayer?

I guess it's not an audio format problem but a driver problem! I had the same HP burner over 4 yrs ago...... I think it's time for a new burner!
