my friend has an e-machine T2891, 2800 AMD, 60 GB, 512MB...they don't know what happened to it, thought maybe video card......but
when I turn on the power it won't even boot up to the splash screen, can't get to the bios, moniter light is orange not green...it's the motherboard right? where would I get a replacement or does anyone have any other ideas?

It could be either, but if it's a basic PC, then the motherboard handles the video anyway. Try http:\\www.newegg.com
