When I installed the new 1.07 Firmware my burning speeds went from 4X to 2X DVD-R.
Can it be reversed ???

Probably you are using 2x media, or 4x media which are fake. (say that they are 4x but they are just 2x)

Try some good media (Ritek, TDK) from a trusted dialer and if this does not work try flashing the 1.07 hacked firmware from
http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/pioneer_firmware_upgrades.htm


This firmware will also let you rip with speeds up to 12x and burn at 2x to discs not supported by Pioneer. It is also region-free. (credit goes to Oriphus!)
