Okay this problem is plaguing me. I set the burner device to 4x. I put the DVD in and prepare to burn by setting the NERO burning recorder speed to 4x. RESULTS: The log says 16x and the last 10 minutes of the dvd freezes every 5 seconds. I need specific instructions on how to change Nero's obsession with 16x, step-by-step instructions and potential reasons why I'm destined not to burn.

I'm in Nero InfoTool 4 and I am trying to change the DVD write speed to 4x from 16x and it refuses to save the change.

Which particular application of Nero are you using...each app has a different way of changing speed

Nero's StartSmart Essential

I am going to take this NERO CD and break it in 2 seconds.... it doesn't work. It insists on burning at 16x and nothing I do changes the end result... coasters. WTF?!

P.S.

Oh, and you know how if you don't write at once that it's not supposed to burn if it's going to fail... well it's as if it's clicked yes because this thing has a mind of it's own!!!!!!!!!

Make your own DVD-Video, thats what I click on... I don't get into the sidebar at all.
