I visited a site called shareaza.com and was impressed by what they say about their p2p client(they say it links up to the e-donkey2000,BitTorrent,Gnutella2 and Gnutella1 networks). Is anyone using this client and if so is it any good?
g1neo, I downloaded Shaeaza, installed and started downloading some files. I must the interface is quite good and you can download torrent files along with connect to the gnutella and edonkey network. But, I have been downloading this past few days and I'm constantly at just below 10kb/s! Which is not very good. Maybe I have not set it up properly but there is much to set anyway! I read on one of the forums that only popular files will get high speeds. But that is not a good system as emule for example "builds" speed over time. I'm still testing so let see how it goes. So far...not good.
No definately not good at all, well for me anyway! I downloaded for three days straight and the download never went above 8-9 KB/s. It doesn't keep d/ling from a source for very long. Switching back to good 'ol emule!
Seems like everyone love's emule, the donkey networks boast the largest user base so far and if you cant find it on emule you probably wont find it on Gnutella.. so why would you need something that connects to all the networks ? Sounds like a good way to lag up your connection if you ask me.
