Any one know what type of mod chip i need to play costum guitar hero 2 songs on my ps2. And were can i get it.

Any modchip that can boot DVD-R backups will be just fine. Modchip.com or Divineo.com are good sites to purchase modchips.

And just so you know, the modchip will need to be installed into your PS2 by soldering it in. If you don't know how to do that, try to find someone that can.
