I have a year old 42 inch HP plasma tv. a couple of weeks ago, had a tripping accident and shattered the bottom left corner of the screen of the tv but the tv works with no problem just the annoying shatter of the screen. I would like to get it repaired without spending the amount of money it cost to buy the television itself. Is it possible?

when you say "shattered" is that physical or do just see a shattered looking image with multiply color, if it's not physical then it might be this chip in the back of the tv, i really dont know what its called but i had the same thing happen to me and i just called a repair guy and he replaced the chip and all was well,
