i just updated to the latest nero 7 version from the nero website, prior to it i had problems with the audio and video out of sync.

since then i burnt a dvd & had no problems

however the 2nd time round when i tried to add the video files i get an error message saying:

the file "------.avi" could not be used because not all the necessary licenses have been activated. Please follow the instructions on the screen to activate your license. After the license has been successfully activated, please restart the application and try again.

i pressed ok but nothing came up.

i uninstalled nero, then ran the clean tool then reinstalled this time through the nero website using the latest update and my previous serial number rather than puttin in my old nero 7 cd and then doing the update

same thing happened burnt once then 2nd time round got the error message

how do i fix this?

Which program are you using? What do you mean by trying to add another file?

I am having the same problem. It tells me that I need a Dolby 5.1 plug in. I purchased this plugin, and got a license key, but there is no way I can find to enter the license key.
