I have a 46" lcd hdtv and would like to output my hd files from my computer on the tv.

However, my current video card can not output to a full 1080p, which is what I'd like to do.

I would like the most bang for my buck however would prefer if possible to spend less than $200.

Any suggestions that you can give will be greatly appreciated

I did a Google search for "1080p video cards", and this is the first site that came up:
http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/hdtv-...CFRHzPgodrwWPBQ
No 1080p on that page, but check some of the other pages, and I'm sure you'll find one.

Google is your friend! :o)

That seems to be for getting hdtv signals to your pc.

I need to get 1080p or i video files shown on my hdtv.

google is where I usually go to but thought I'd ask all you experts who might have tested out good cards

check here:

look in the 7 series range. just a quick look, I found a HD ready one for 79 bucks. Make sure you pick one that fits your motherboard setup (ex: SLI, PCIe)

*edit* forgot to mention, make sure your TV has the correct connections also.

This is listed under their "Main Features":
? Video output with RGB or YPbPr(Component)
As I said........they didn't show 1080p anyway.

i may be ignorant here but 1080p is 1920x1080 resolution. i have a cheap radeon diamond x300 pci-e card that i picked up on clearance for 40 bucks at office depot, reg 99.99 and through the ati media center was able to achieve that resolution, would that not be a 1080p picture, and btw i have it connected through vga.

if so then wouldn't just about any new card be compatible for a 1080p picture.
