hi guys...
im planning on upgrading my existing graphics card....
i have windows xp
emachines t3410
amd sempron processor 3400+
512 ram
right now i have bfg nvidia geforce 6600 oc 512mb ddr2....
bestbuy has a sale on their graphics card...
i now have 3 choices...

which graphics card should i get? im not really a big pc gamer but i do play sometimes. especially command and conquer 3:tiberium wars.. great game by the way.. u guys should try... ;-)any games you recommend... hehe.. anyway... i want my pc to have good graphics but most of all i want the video card for increase performance on my pc...
any help would be appreciated... thanks guys... ;-)

What current power supply do you have in your PC? A lot of emachines power supply units are terrible.
As for the graphics cards, do you have to use bestbuy? You will save a TON of money if you order online instead.
This for example is much faster than any of the choices you've listed:

thanks for the reply... i changed my power supply to 400w... is that site reliable? i dont have to buy from bestbuy... does the brand matter? is it a good brand? does this card increase my pc performance more than the other cards... is it compatible with my processor?the card you showed me is a 256 gddr3... is it faster or better performance thank 512 ddr2? thanks again...

yep, it's faster than 512MB DDR2, the Brand of the graphics card doesn't matter too much, but with the PSU it matters a lot. What brand Power supply did you get?
Newegg is very reliable I'm told.

i have a DYNEX 400 watt power supply... the video cards memor fast so its gonna increase my pc performance right?... its not gonna have problems with my processor right? whats PSU by the way... thanks...

Hmm, Dynex, that's a pretty ass brand. No offense, but I've never heard of it before, which is never good with Power supplies.

Well no, having a decent power supply won't, but chances are, having a cheap-ass power supply will.

The Thermaltake one is OK, the Apevia one is awful. of the two, definitely go with the Thermaltake.
