No, you're looking at more like $2000.

Then would a Geforce Go 8600 play crysis at low settings?

Yeah, at low settings, perhaps even medium, as long as you didn't use a high resolution.

depends on resolution... I think the 7950 would be way better than a 8600 though...

yeah, possibly medium if you stick with a low resolution. It'll suck a bit if you turn the resolution up high though.

well this is in a laptop right? If it is, then the overclocking is gone... You would need a aftermarket cooler, which you cant change in a laptop.

I guess that would be ok for crysis. But thats all, just ok. I would get a 2.16ghz or 2.33ghz processor.

On the contrary, that CPU will probably mince crysis. The laptop Core 2 Duos are very good.
It's graphics you've got to be concerned with in laptops. I'd say the bare minimum for Crysis would be a Go7600 or Go8600, preferably a Go7900 or Go8800.

Your X1950XT will run Crysis fine, Waymon, even if it is underperforming.

What? GRAW 2? Yea, I play it on all high, 1280x960 and I found this hack on the internet that allows you to enable the "extreme" physics without a Ageia Physx card. I played the first training level just now with about 30fps. I can play first person shooter games with anything over 20.
