Its a very generic question.

There's loads to choose from m8..

Personally I use Jesterware - DVD Ripper Professional
http://www.jesterware.co.uk/dvd_to_avi.htm
- Does Rips to MP4, AVI, MPEG2, WMV etc.
- Good support

I googled a edited by ddp several days ago and found it fairly powerful, practical and convenient to use. You can give it a shot.
Its edited by ddp is also available for Mac OS users.

Super. Converts most anything to most anything else. MP4, btw, isn't a format.

Yes, Handbrake will help.
Several days ago, I stumbled upon one edited by ddp dvd to mp4 ripper[/url], which helped you and I'm sure will help you as well. It also offers a edited by ddp.
