Recently I tried playing Burnout Revenge online and I used the same network settings I've used for every other game because they worked (everything set to auto) and I got taken to the EA page to create an account. Everything worked and I made an account.

When I went to play it online, I used the same network settings but I got the message "port 3658 not open...." but I ignored it. I tried to join a game but couldn't connect properly so I decided to find the problem.

Eventually I ended up setting my router to force my PS2 to take a certain IP address (as my router can do that, I chose 192.168.1.136) and then I put that IP in the DMZ so that it has no security. I also set my router to open EVERY port for the IP address I was forcing my PS2 to use. I tried that with my "auto" configuration but I still got the "port 3658" error so I created a new network config that makes my PS2 choose the IP 192.168.1.136 but still the same error.

I then tried using my other games online (with both the "auto" config and the "burnout" config) and all of them would connect without problems.

In short:

Router forces PS2 to take IP: 192.168.1.136
The IP address in the DMZ: 192.168.1.136
All ports are open for IP: 192.168.1.136
PS2 is set to take the IP: 192.168.1.136

I also tried by connecting my PS2 directly into my modem but I get the same error.
