0. Ignore GreenHike, he has just spammed several posts with pointless comments.
Also note that the M3DSS and R4DS are basically the same.
Quote:1. which is the fastest
The G6 is the fastest as it uses in built memory, the M3/R4 follow as they can run most games at full speed with any MicroSD (only 2-3 games need a fast MicroSD), the Supercard is last as you need a fast microSD for pretty much everything.
Quote:2. what kind of media does it play
They all play the same files as they all can run Moonshell (media player)
Quote:3. are all Micro SD cards supported
Yes, but it is recommended you get a fast microSD for the problem games such as Castlevania:POR (e.g. Japanese Kingson)
Quote:4. can i play Pokemon online with any of thee
Yes, All of them.
Quote:5. are they future proof to work on all future games
Yes, all three do updates to fix problems for new games.
Quote:6. is it true that some micro sd do not work?
As far as I know they all work, but some games will suffer from slowdown if you use a slow microSD (the supercard is more probne to this than the M3/R4, the G6 dosn't use Microsd so no problem with it)
Quote:7. can any of these play gba games/n64/nes/snes
No slot-1 card can play GBA games on it own, you'll need to buy a lsot-2 card of some form (the EZFlash 3-1 is good)
I think NES games work well with an emulator, but as I don't use emulation on my DS i'm not 100% sure.
Some SNES games work using an emulator, but i think most have problems/don't work, again as I don't use emulation on the DS i'm not sure.
N64 does not and will probably never work on the DS as there is simply not enough power to emulate the system.
I have those kingston cards and they work fine. I also had success with the Best Buy's no name store brand. I didn't want to wait for the order to be shipped. While both played games fine, the loading time on putting games onto the card and loading the game to play was noticeable, only a few seconds more, but noticeable. Once in the game, there is no difference.
There are some new cards that are SDHC that are rumored not to work in the R4, but they are only 4 gigs or bigger.
Kingstons will definately work, so it would be safer to get them instead of buying a cheaper one and it not working. I'd rather spend the extra 5-10 bucks and know it will work.
