Guys, could somebody explain me why on my new computer, when I'm coping DVD, the writing speed to create the image is less than 2 kb/sec. On my old desktop it's more 6. What do I need to do to increase that writing speed?

Use Device Manager and check whether your burner is using the DMA transfer mode on its IDE or ATA channel.

Also some burners are locked to 2X-5X rip speeds. What make and model of burner are you using?

Edit: typo corrected
