So, I just ordered myself a Zune while Dell had their little pricing error going on. It should be arriving shortly.

I've found the registry trick to make it drag and drop, similar to a removable hard drive.

I've found that I do *not* want to click 'express setup', since it will search out and move every picture, song and video on my pc to the thing.

I've found that there is a modification which will make the Zune software interpret many more video and audio files(Through quick conversion, as I understand it.)

Aside from your opinions on whether or not you like the product, can anyone offer other suggestions for getting the most from it?

I've read enough fanboys on both sides of the fence, so I really don't care to hear "Return it for an iPod" or anything of the like. If you don't like the Zune, don't voice it here, I'm not asking for your opinion of the device.

Like I said, if there are other tweaks, settings, or modifications to improve the usability/functionality/pleasantry of this device, I'd like to hear them, I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row while I wait to receive the product.

Thanks in advance!

I'd like to know too, I'm looking to get a zune, trying to wait out for the new ones, but wouldn't mind knowing about any cool tricks there are to it

|So far I've had a lot of good luck with mine. I just have to remember to charge it each night (I use it for about 10 hours a day), I've had a couple crashes, but considering that it's already seen literally a couple hundred hours of usage, and that's been the only snaffoo, I can't complain.

I will say though, that initial sync is *PAINFUL*, be prepared to endure it if you have a lot of music, and don't tell it to search your pc for images and videos, trust me on that.

I just picked up a used one the other day. Only about a month old. I had a few problems at first but I loaded up a bunch of stuff and I love it.

I'm interested in the drag and drop procedure. Can you send the info?

Thanks,
