My friend has a dvd burner and he burns movies a lot and i wanted to burn a game. i want to know if burning a game can lessin the life of a dvdburner or mess up his computer in any way.

Short answer is NO! If you have the original disc to backup then there is no danger. If you or he decide to d/l files from a source that we CANNOT discuss, then you are at the mercy of whom ever supplies that file.

My personal choice of software for that kind of backup is Alcohol 120% It isn't freeware, but worth the outlay. If your in doubt of what other software that might be available to you, then use the Search function and type in (for EG:) ps2 backup etc. you will find alternate methods.
