Hi well i was wondering if I could use my friends Eeprom to fix error 16 if so how do i do it and I was wondering how to generate my xboxs HDD KEY And PASSWORD. I have already tried using Xboxhdm and I rebuilt the drive from scratch but when I put the Harddrive back in the Xbox I still got error 16. So then I tryed it again and i couldnt hotswap. I want to sve my xbox. Please help me. I will be in your gratitude Please.

1. your eeprom is locked to your motherboard, this means only yr original eeprom will work and yr friends is uesless.

2. have a look at this http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210562
error 16 is nothing to do with the eeprom.

3. finally try this tutorial on fixing error 16

You must have missed the section! This method will fix Error 16.

You MUST use clean files! They are provided in the tutorial!
