I think I bricked my xbox

Last week I soft modded my xbox with Ndure and it worked fine. Tonight I decided to upgrade the hard drive with chimp2.6. I followed all the instruction, but now neither HDs will work. Is there any fix to this problem!??!?

No, I know that they are not working, but what do they do that suggests that they are broken? Do they produce error screens? If so, what number is in the top left? Do they make clicking sounds? etc...

the original hd does make a clicking sound, not the new one.

Ok, the original HDD will most likely be dead, but what does the other one do? It must have an error screen or freeze or something...

Ok the old one is dead, I tried the hotswap to retreive the eeprom and its just not working. The new one gets the same message, the good news is that is working (I hooked it up to my computer). Now I need to find a way to get the info from the memory unit to the pc. Every time I try to transfer the backup eeprom from the mu to the pc I get a message saying the save is not an xbox save. Do you think I can soft mod a friends xbox, copy the mu to his hd, ftp it to my pc, then put the eeprom onto a new hd??

What message is it getting? You're being very vague and not answering my questions.

And like I said there is no number in the top left corner.
Sorry to go on about the memory unit, but I just feel like it is the only way of getting the eeprom back onto my computer without a modchip or eeprom reader.

Dude if your harddrive has been working and it turns on and gives you an error message you can fix it, you will have to follow the tutorial that chuck made.. it worked for me and im sure aslong as the harddrive unlocks its self when started up you shouldnt have a problem

Ok I got my old hard drive to work, I followed the xboxhd guide TO THE T and now I get an error 6 or error 7 (depending on where I put the slave, master, cable selector thing). What can be done about this?

Error 6 means that the HDD is locked with the wrong eeprom! So either you have a HDD from another Xbox or you were playing with eeproms!
Error 7 means a dead HDD, however if it changes with the jumper, I'd just ignore it!
For clarity though, Xbox HDD is 'Cable Select'

NEW HARD DRIVE: Oh man I know EXACTLY what I did wrong. I copied the wrong eeprom.bin from computer when making the iso! Ok I will try the whole process all over again and see if it works.
PS: I now have an error 5 on my old hard drive is there anything that can be done about that one.

Error 5 means that there is currently NO eeprom locked to the drive! Lock it with XboxHDM and the CORRECT eeprom!
You can ensure the correct eeprom is used by opening it in a program called 'LiveInfo'. The serial number will match the sticker underneath your console!
