Problem with Utorrent and wireless card

Hi,

I have recently changed to a wireless connection at home and am using a netgear router (will find the model number when I get home). I was given a USB dongle to use to connect my PC to the router however this caused me several problems so I have switched to a PCI wireless card.
This is now working fine except with Utorrent. I can connect and things appear to be downloading OK, but after a short time my wireless card disconnects from the wireless network and I can find any networks. I have to reboot the PC to get it working again. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated and if anyone wants model number details of the card /router then I can provide them when I get home.

It may be a problem with too many open connections set in uTorrent.

See the uTorrent FAQ on Modems and routers that are known to have problems with P2P.

Even if your modem is not listed, the max global connections setting in uTorrent may have to be lowered as all routers will have trouble with too many open connections.

The settings for global (and per torrent) connections is at:
Options/Prefences/BitTorrent
