alright, i have this motherboard
http://www.barebonekit.net/itemdesc.asp?ic=MB4DELWF887&eq=&Tp= it came with my crappy dell.. but it has came a long way since then, the only thing stopping me from having a decent gaming pc is the mobo and my processor (celeron d 2.5 ghz)
well anyways i was wondering if based on the specifications from that web page, if you would consider getting this processor..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116027 i am just too lazy to install a new motherboard and i just wanna max out my current motherboards capabilities to get all the performance i can out of it..
please help me out, ur info would be highly appreciated, and i would be glad to help any of you out with any questions of yours.
i was just thikning i had the same problem of only PCI slots on my old motherboard and the I mean THE best graphics card you can get is only like a 5700 which won't even let you play some higher end games NOW (at the moment), but if your thinking about even attempting to play games that may come out in the future I suggest just buying a new MOBO and Graphics Card the whole Shabang.. I did it all on ebay and am very pleased I went from having a shitty dell 2400 to having somewhat of a nice gaming computer... You may just be wasting your money on trying to relive something thats already dead.

it would work the cpu has a 478 socket with 800mhz and ur mobo supports that... try looking on ebay tho because I bought a P4 775 with HT and it was BRAND NEW shipped fast and free and was only 45$ you could get one ur looking for much cheaper than that BRAND NEW
