Burn Problem: Wierd

I guess this is wierd but maybe it has a simple solution. Recently, I have been getting burn and validation errors in Both Nero Express and Roxio. I always get the validation errors towards the end of the validation. I also get burn errors in Nero recode. I am copying the log from the recode session below. I can also burn a DVD cleanly at 16X. I get the errors on both my MAd Dog DVD recorder and my CD recorder (both IDE Internal). I have all the latest updates for Roxio 8 and Nero 7.x installed.
I can always get a clean error-free burn and validate after a reboot. The longer my PC has been running since a reboot, the less chance I have of a good burn. I don't think it's heat because the problem goes away after a reboot when the PC is just as hot as before the reboot probably. I assume it is interference from some program that remains resident after running it but what could that be? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

First off, edit out your serial number, it begins with 1C82.
Use page image on the pind/flesh colored bar to edit your post.
The conflict is probably between Roxio and Nero. They don't play well together.
You will probably have to make a decision on which one you want and delete & wipe all traces of the other.
If you decide to wack Roxio, you will need this Zapper.
