I've seen some post by hursty saying that you must scan and blah blah blah but that hasn't work for 19 games for me and i was tired of it.I had lego star wars and i wanted to convert it to dvd so here it is:

1.Open ISOBuster and open the image
2.extract all files into a folder on your desktop
3.open nero burning rom
4.select dvd
5.select dvd udf/iso
6.no multisession
7.click iso tab
8.uncheck all boxes
9.file name length to level 1
10.label just put in a name
11.misc check all boxes
12.burn at 4x click new
13.put all the files from the folder into the empty space
14.add a dummy file:http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=mis.html
15.open with winrar
16.extract right into the burning rom where you put the other files
17.BURN

should work as i have tested it with 2 games.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+,1.74 GHZ,1GB DDR PC3200,LG GSA-4163B,500Watts,ATI Radeon x600

PS2 v.SCPH-39001 w/ Swap Magic 3.6+FlipTop & LaunchELF Independence Exploit

Playstation 3 80GB NTSC
(got it free :D)

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings
Half-Life
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Lego Star Wars
Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex
Crash Nitro Kart
Worms Blast
The Sims
Unreal Tournament

and i forget the rest but im not saying your guide isn't good.im saying this one worked for me.i will test it with more games to confirm it but your method actually hasn't proven to be successful for me and i have not seen any proof that it is.and just because you have one too doesnt mean i cant.

the proof is that everyone uses that method, and no-one hardly posts complaining it dont work, only on games with unreadable and hidden checks it doesnt work, like maximo..your the first one to state it hasnt worked on 19 titles, its a method used and shown in most ps2 forums,so it cant be far wrong.
besides i just wrote it out
and btw, saying you dont need to use scanlite or the latest version CMP to remove CD checks, and patch them to DVD is your look out
some games work without patching, and then some dont
why do you think that homebrew app(s) where made in the first place by sonix if you dont need it?

good luck :)

I tried converting Global Defense Force(PS2CD Format).. It is in Pal so I patched it using ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix(can be found in another forum) before patching it for dvd...
