hi

ive got a 64mb memory card for the ps2 and recently i cant save any new files on it, i can only overwrite files and delete them. There is a bunch of corrupted data on it (with the blue boxes) and i can't delete them as it somehow has copying protection which in turn seems to prevent it from being deleted. i want to format the memory card, but ive used AR Max's Max Memory but that doesn't detect the 64mb memory card as a normal card, it shows up as a red icon and doesn't allow me to access the contents. any help will be appreciated!

ps: ive heard of using ulaunchelf or execftp to do this kind of stuff, would this work?

Yes you could use uLaunchElf to boot the mcformat tool or mckiller to format the 64mb memory card.
Now if you click my name to the left, I have uLaunchELF_v4.08__ELFs__PS2CD_-_Globalwar_Edition in my folder. It has the elf file mcformat.
You would just need to burn that to a cd or DVD and then once booted,
Click filebrowser, then click cdfs/ to browse the cd/dvd and look for the elf file then run it.
Or you could just use a newer ulaunch elf from skapps,burn to cd and run it and put the mcformat.elf on a usb flash drive and run it from that.

MCKiller doesn't work :( i think its because of either the fact that its not a normal MC or that the corrupted data has corrupted the memory card as a whole...

That could be, I have not tried it on my 64mb card so wasn't sure.
Well you could try QATOOL then. Its also a PS2 memory card format program.
Just click my name to the left and go to my folder. You will find it there.
You have to extract it, then burn it to a cd.
